Before and after: Collaged K for the decorated alphabet book, I made a gocco print over heavily pasted and decorated paper, and in the missed areas I applied some gold, a rustic and rough look for sure. The small geometrical shapes were done with a roller and then cut up. This feels empty with no depth to me, I'm not sure how to improve it. I decided to write words begining with K in the white spaces. Small foiled dots between them. The white turned a little grubby from the gouache and remaining waste glue from the edges of the collage. Planning beforehand would have helped this letter but I fear I will forever be reactive.
