EDM #36 Draw in public. I had an hour for dinner to cook so I skipped out to one of our little local parks overlooking the construction of the new Mangere Bridge extensions. The other side of the harbour was too far away for me to see fine detail even though I knew what was there. This view is really quite skewed but I did look and try to see. It was an incoming tide and there were lots of people fishing.

I can only aspire to do such a drawing in an hour! It's great.

I can tell this is your drawing - there is such a familiarity about the lines and circles, aspects and technique. You must have a very strong style for someone like me (who doesn't really pay attention to that kind of thing) to notice. Keep up the good work - I'm enjoying your photographs too.

Hi Diane and Anonymous, Thanks for your comments. I should do lots more perspective drawing and looking at how things really are. The new bridge here is so wrong. Strange what you do when you draw from real things as opposed to photos or scans or images that are already 2D. thanks for visiting too.
