This is in progress, trying something out, sumi ink and watercolour crayons. It didn't turn out quite how I expected, but I know what it is, I think I know what it needs. I bought some new crayons yesterday, neocolour, and I know they are not colour fast. I was surprised at the colours on the paper, should've tested them in the shop and I might have made different choices. I need to do more fine pen lines on this.

Eventhough you said the result isn't quite as expected, I still think that this is an awesome painting, and with a lot of areas which triggers imagination. :)

This started out as a challenge to myself, using a complicated photo as a base for a piece of work. I am still waiting for it to tell me what to do next. Thanks for the comment.

I really like the look of your piece. I also enjoyed looking through the rest of your blog. You have a very nice style.

I scrolled down and looked at lots and lots of nice stuff. Your books look great. I don't know that binding. Will have to google it. Your sheep are terrific and I liked the bright simple look to your tulips. Lots of interesting stuff here. I'll have to come back and feast again.

Hi Freebird, the books are coptic bound, which open nice and flat. Thanks for the positive comments. I use journaling prompts and always mean to publish more often, worlds apart but not really.
