The colours of my succulent for botanical drawing change so I thought perhaps some trials with coloured pencils were a good idea. It will help with my final composition too. I have not yet learnt the teacher's way to blend and layer the colours together. Sadly traveling with the plant has knocked off several heads, a branch too, and it also suffers in the studio dark, preferring the bright sunlight.
