Journal 52 number 5. Abstract inspiration. I started with the negative spaces of No 2, the brown paper cut outs from the stencil. I glued them randomly on the paper, rolled a brayer loaded with ink over them and then printed with the press. After a while the ink dried and then I started shading in the shapes to make something I saw as real. It seems to be huts, boats and animals. The shapes were interesting to work with especially as the printing process made them less identifiable. This is out of sequence because the earlier numbers are too wet to scan yet. This was fun to do as I had no preconceived expectations.
