EDM # 12 Draw what you ate for dinner. Unfortunately I ate mine while I drove home and didn't think I was up to sketching at the same time. So I retrieved the wrappings from the rubbish and saw two small lettuce leaves in the bottom which will have to do. (It did contain 6 oysters, two fingers full of lettuce, and a lemon slice.) I started this yesterday, it's taken a while. I have not done hatching quite like this and was inspired to try after looking here http://andreajoseph24.blogspot.com/ Andrea Joseph's hatching is incredible, her whimsy and sense of humour a delight. I have learnt such a lot from this exercise and while not satisfied with the sketch, it will stay as a lesson to myself.

I love the way you draw. I particularly like this one, and the 'jewels' and the spectacles.

Thank you for your feedback, so good to read when I am not sure what I am doing. This EDM is the most intensive go I have had at drawing/sketching since school!

Hey, thank you, Hillary. I was just about to leave a comment saying how much I loved your hatching when I read the text. Your lines are great. And, I'm very flattered. Cheers.

Nicely done - I am enjoying your artwork your sketches are quite skillful and - I think your cross hatching is very good -

Thanks again Andrea, I'll keep my head down and pen work light. Still making mistakes, easier to correct that way.

Kathleen, thanks for your positive comments too. I liked what you wrote about starting a new book and messing it up straight away, made me smile. Thanks for visiting.
