Today we were three, out sketching round the Panmure Basin, this is from the reserve at the end of Waitene Road. There is a swing bridge and narrow chanel between the lagoon and the Estuary. Lots of people out walking with children, scooters and skateboarders, dogs, jogging, and even a friendly kitten.
Four geese kept us company until they realised we had no titbits, they moved on noisily. Dibbling and gaggling.
2nd location at Waipuna Road East, down by the water, this boat was moored by the ramp in the Estuary, on a still, warm afternoon. We could hear the build up of rush hour traffic as it went over the two bridges and realised how lucky we were.
